Another engraving work made in the course directed by my uncle. The idea and title, "The Witch is Coming!", both inspired by a frequent nightmare I had being a child. My father told me stories about "la Bruja Curuja" (I think the best translation of it would be The Wicked Witch) and how she entered through the windows for catch the naughty children. And he told me that stories in a so detailed way than I always had nightmares with the witch, coming through my window, grabbing me and then flying far away. Just mix that with a bit of Goya´s graphic work knowledge, and... voilá xD.
Well, is not exactly a sketch, but an engraving. The technique is the following: you engrave the drawing you wanna over a copper plate, and then cover it with an ink coat. Finally, you just press a paper over the plate using a printing press, and you have it.
Sorry if my words are complicated to understand, it´s a bit hard to me to translate explanation ^^u

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
